Conference Call (Add Participant)

Brief Description

This workflow describes the steps for starting a conference call by adding a participant in a non ACD (Automatic Call Distribution) call in the Genesys system.

Select the arrow drop-down button.

Select the Add Participant option.

Enter the name or phone number of the contact in the Enter Names and Numbers field.

Select the contact that you want to add to the call.

Select the green phone button.

Genesys Cloud calls the contact and starts a conference call.

NOTES:

  • If you put yourself on hold during the conference, you will not hear anything. However, the conference will not have hold music either.
  • When adding a participant, the parties added automatically merge into the call.
  • The Agent can disconnect, and the other parties will stay connected.
  • Genesys Cloud supports a maximum of 20 participants in a conference call.
